History

E-Renter co-founders Brenda Menkis and Guy Seeklus both come from families who owned property, and who were consistently struggling with the best way to screen tenants for their rental units. During one such conversation, the phrase "there has to be an easier way to screen tenants" stuck in Guy's brain...and E-Renter was born.

E-Renter USA was incorporated in the State of Washington on June 22, 2003. Their property management background, coupled with Guy's MBA and business experience in marketing, made the tenant screening business a natural fit.

In January 2006, the Better Business Bureau announced that E-Renter was recipient of the Small Business Innovative Business Practices Award.

June 2008 saw E-Renter relocating from Blaine to Bellingham, Washington. The new 2,863 square feet in our headquarters facility is complete with state of the art security systems with controlled access, staff fingerprint scanners, closed circuit TV monitoring, 24-hour alarmed motion detectors, after-hour security guard, and Department of Defense NSA-approved shredders.
